In Tribute
In Loving Memory of Lt. Eric Shuhandler - Lieutenant Eric Shuhandler, a 16-year veteran with the Gilbert Police Department, was killed in the line of duty on Thursday, January 28, 2010. Shuhandler served and protected Gilbert between 1994 and 2010.

Register now for Citizens’ Police Academy
The Gilbert Police Department has begun registration for the Spring 2010 Citizens’ Police Academy, an eight-week course that gives residents a broad overview of police operations.
Vin etching event February 25
Another program residents can take advantage of is a VIN etching event planned at the Public Safety Complex at 75 E. Civic Center Drive on Thursday, Feb. 25, from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m.
Changes to your Refuse and Recyling Collection Schedule
Gilbert is changing its refuse and recycling collection to a five-day a week schedule, eliminating Saturday collection.
New Mediation Training Classes
The Leadership Centre has new mediation training classes available in 2010 that will help you improve relationships in the work place.
Gilbert to Host Arizona's First Solar Energy Efficiency Town Hall Meeting
Gilbert residents are invited to attend Gilbert’s first free “Solar Energy Efficiency” Town Hall Meeting on Monday, February 22nd at 6:30 pm at the Southeast Regional Library located at 775 North Greenfield Road at Guadalupe Road in Gilbert.
